Buffalo Point
on the Buffalo
National River

Buffalo Point Area is located on the lower portion of the Buffalo National River at Scenic Highway 14 and Hwy. 268. 

The crystal clear waters of the river are contrasted by rugged limestone cliffs and gravel beaches to create a perfect setting for canoeing, fishing, rafting, hiking, camping and swimming. Rustic cabins and a restaurant are available in the park during

spring, summer and fall and there are a number of outfitters, cabins and RV & camping providers in the surrounding area. 

Some of the many cabin rentals, canoe outfitters, convenience stores and accommodations near the park are open all year.

Interpretive Programs at Buffalo Point

Ranger Programs
After a long day on the river, relax to the sound of Ozark Folk Music or gear up again for a night out on the trail with a ranger. Ranger-led activities are offered at Buffalo Point during the
summer season and are free and open to the public (i.e., you don't have to be camping there to participate). Kids, ask about the Junior Ranger program for ages six to twelve.
